Ode to New York City
Never knew what I missed,
Till I walked into
You.
The kiss in your eyes
Burnt my skin
As I held your stare,
deep and all knowing.
We danced with passion
Under lights;
Stilettos clicking
To the latest tune.
Like the caress of a past lover
Felt in a new dream,
You awoke the beast in me,
a beast lost to shadows.
Now alone I sit
In aching darkness,
Fingers searching my empty world,
For a sign of that pulse.
Of Life.
P.S: Written after my recent trip to NYC, spent in the company of Her Highness Princess Duck. We had tons of rillocking fun and it made me realize, "Once a city girl, always a city girl." I miss Chennai!

I have lived there for almost a year and each and every long week end i end up going there to new york :)every episode i watch of friends or sex and the city i know i miss it even more :)

My relationship with God is that of peaceful co-existence. I dont disturb/ask/plead to him(her/it but for convenience sakes will stick to him) and dont expect him to help/answer me either. I do not know if it is the best strategy to adopt. But I'd rather let him do his own thing while I do mine. And I'd like to think it works for me..:)

I LOVE NYC!! Been there a few times...and it always makes me feel so alive and like a completely different person altogether. I used to pretend to be 'felicity' at Dean & Deluca... Carrie with a martini at Blue Fin and...so on and so forth. I think it's best explored with some good girlfriends. I miss NYC.
